About my practice: I am an Australian-trained clinical psychologist with a background in psychodynamic psychotherapy. In this approach, the therapeutic relationship is used to understand and work through relational difficulties in life. You will be encouraged to say what comes to mind, talk about your experiences and memories, and to reflect on dreams and fantasies. I also draw from other therapeutic approaches, including CBT (working with thoughts, emotions and behaviour) and IFS (working with parts of the self). I also teach mindfulness, to help people to become more present, stay with and fully feel their emotions, and increase their awareness of their body. My approach is based on what you need and what we decide together will be most helpful. I will guide you in exploring your own inner landscape, with the goal of increasing understanding, identifying unhelpful patterns, and creating new ways of being in the world.
