About my practice:

I am a registered counsellor and a member of the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec (OCCOQ). I offer a warm, open, and supportive therapeutic environment grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and deep listening—space for us to explore whatever may be causing difficulty.

My background in social and cultural anthropology gives me a deep, nuanced understanding of human behaviour across diverse cultural and social contexts. It allows me to engage with each client’s unique life experiences while maintaining a critical awareness of how broader social factors—such as economic pressures, systemic inequality, and power dynamics—shape psychological well-being and access to care.

I practice primarily from a client-centered, humanistic, and psychodynamic framework, integrating other evidence-based modalities—including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping)—depending on your needs and preferences. My aim is to help you develop self-awareness, break free from unhelpful patterns, and cultivate focus, self-acceptance, and hope. I care deeply about meeting each client exactly where you are, and I bring inclusivity and compassion to all aspects of my practice. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of concerns, including: trauma and complex trauma; anxiety and depression; abuse and grief; neurodivergence (including late diagnoses); addiction and recovery; parenting challenges (especially solo parenting); attachment and relationship dynamics; life and career transitions; existential and spiritual uncertainty; and loneliness and isolation.  I am also familiar with the stresses and challenges faced by students, professors, and other members of academic communities. I also offer academic coaching, particularly in stress management, interpersonal relationships, and motivation-building, and I have helped individuals navigate the difficult transition from academia to a second career.

I offer sessions online via a secure video platform. I’m available weekdays and evenings; I also offer weekend appointments.
