Description of your practice: In my practice, I work with problems around anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD and trauma. I mainly work under the systemic theoretical lens which aims to explore the functionality behind behaviours and focuses on understanding a person within the context of their relationships and systems. I also work within the CBT approach, which aims at exploring the dynamic relationship between cognitions, emotions and resulting behaviours, explores cognitive biases, interpretations and shortcuts, and how deeply internalized thoughts become our working theories for understanding the external world and our ongoing experiences.
Additionally, I incorporate some aspects of narrative therapy, look at meaning-making and how we choose to tell and construct our story, as a way to heal and grow. Last, I aim for my work to be culturally-informed and centered around the therapeutic relationship.
