About me: I am a Registered Art Therapist specializing in relational and emotional health. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. My training background includes a master of education degree in art therapy and a post-masters marriage and family therapy certificate. I worked as an arts-based psychotherapist in the States for 4 years in inpatient and outpatient settings using cognitive behavioural therapy, contextual family therapy, and mindfulness approaches. Clinically, I have experience in treating adjustment-related anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, sexual and chemical addictions, anger management, and trauma-related symptoms in teens and adults. I love to work with individuals, couples, and families who are motivated to better their relationships and emotional well-being. As a Taiwanese-American with a third culture kid background, I am sensitive to how our larger cultural, spiritual, and family contexts shape the way we experience life and all the transitions in between. I believe we all come to our issues honestly. And my goal as a therapist is to offer a creative and mindful environment for my clients to develop a greater self-compassion and compassion for others.
